Two new Pokémon have been discovered in the Pokémon Sword and Shield demo at E3 2019.

According to multiple accounts from people at the event, the new Pokémon in the Sword and Shield demo are a corgi and an imp. The corgi’s name is Yamper, while the imp’s name is Impidimp.

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have not officially confirmed these two Pokémon, so there isn’t much information to gather from them. In any case, here’s what we know about each of the new Galar region ‘Mon so far.

YAMPER

Yamper is a pure Electric-type Pokémon that knows a brand new ability. The name of the ability is Ball Fetch and its effect allows trainers to retrieve the first Poke Ball that’s thrown and fails to capture.

Screenshots of Yamper in the Sword and Shield demo show it can learn Play Rough, Crunch, Spark and Wild Charge. These particular moves would suggest that Yamper will be more of a physically offensive Pokémon.

Impidimp is an unusual Pokémon and even more mysterious than Yamper. The only thing we know about this Pokémon is that it is a Dark and Fairy-type Pokémon, the first with that particular typing in the whole franchise.

The addition of these two Pokémon brings the number of new ones to 12. This figure includes the starter Pokémon, Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble, the legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zazamenta, as well as the handful revealed in last week’s Direct. These are Wooloo, Corviknight, Drednaw, Gossifleur and Eldegoss.

The reveal of Yamper in Sword and Shield gives even more credence to a leak claiming there will be an electric corgi Pokémon posted weeks before the last Pokémon Direct. That same leak also named Nessa as a Gym Leader of the Galar region, which was confirmed in Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct.

Pokémon Sword and Shield will release November 15.
